What is a CRAC unit?A computer room air conditioner is a precision cooling unit that controls temperature and humidity for IT equipment. A CRAH does a similar job using chilled water.
What is PUE?Power usage effectiveness is total facility energy divided by IT equipment energy. A lower number means less energy goes to cooling and other overheads.
What is N+1 cooling?N+1 means one extra cooling unit beyond the capacity needed, so cooling continues if one unit fails or is serviced.
Can you prepare a room for higher-density or liquid cooling?Yes. We plan pipework, heat rejection and monitoring so higher-density racks can be added.
