Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a CRAC unit and why does a server room need one?

A CRAC (computer room air conditioner) is a precision cooling unit that controls temperature and humidity for IT equipment. Ordinary comfort air conditioners are not designed for continuous, tightly controlled cooling.

What temperature should a server room be kept at?

Many operators follow the ASHRAE recommended range of about 18 to 27 degrees Celsius with controlled humidity, and set targets based on equipment guidance.

What does N+1 redundancy mean?

N+1 means one extra unit beyond what is needed, so cooling or power continues if one unit fails or is serviced.

Do you support small server rooms as well as large data centers?

Yes. We support small server rooms, enterprise rooms and larger facilities with cooling, power, cabling and monitoring.
